Staff
Simon Clouston is an accountant with varied accounting & business experience across both commercial & primary sectors for over 16 years. His focus is working with clients on their business development, budgeting & taxation advice.
Simon is originally from Omakau where he was bought up on a sheep & beef farm (3,500su) which he then owned/operated with his father for 6 years after returning from university/Dunedin. When the farm was sold he developed a small business for several years before & during his accounting career. After university he also worked for a few years at ACC and has strong knowledge on ACC levies & options for business.
“I understand & have experienced personally many of the pressures/stresses that small-medium business owners & farmers go through in all stages of their business, from starting up through to winding up”.
Outside of work he has been a keen sportsman - tennis, squash & cricket and recently a new enthusiastic member of table tennis and lawn bowls, other interest is reading science fiction.
